1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

2 Review of existing work programme and strategic priorities

2.1 The Committee reviewed the work it has already undertaken and discussed the strategic priorities it set in the Autumn of 2016.

3 Planning ahead: short term

3.1 The Committee agreed to undertake an inquiry into physical activity and childhood. The terms of reference will be finalised at the 19 July meeting, and a public consultation will follow.

3.2 The Committee had initial discussions about its plans for scrutiny of the Welsh Government’s draft budget for 2018-19.

4 Planning ahead: medium/long term

4.1 The Committee had initial discussions about its plans for future inquiries and agreed to finalise proposals at its meeting on 19 July.

4.2 The Committee agreed to cancel its meeting on 13 July and delay consideration of its draft report on primary care until September.
